Infrastructure Industry Trend 2023

India’s aim to maintain its comparatively high growth rate relies heavily on one key component i.e. infrastructure. The central government’s move to devise faster and more impactful strategies to stimulate growth in the sector will go a long way. 2021 and 2022 have been the years of initiatives and integration of infrastructure projects such as National Infrastructure Pipeline, National Monetisation Plan, Gati Shakti, and National Single Window System. The year 2023 and following period will see the larger side of implementation and impact which will most certainly benefit all stakeholders of the Indian Infrastructure industry.

The G20 leadership induced growth will be visible across all sectors. The massive emphasis on connectivity through air, rail and road under Gati Shakti is to play a decisive role within infrastructure domain and urban development. Moreover the local chip manufacturing can also be a potential game changer.

There is a renewed emphasis on sustainable development emanating from India’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2070. It will push the Indian AEC sector towards developing more sustainable structures using greener materials and technologies in the coming years. One such project that employs greener technologies and has less of an impact on the environment during construction is the Green National Highway Corridor Project.
