Sachin Manchanda Foundation Holds Successful Food Drive to Alleviate Hunger Amidst Challenging Season

 

·      Free food distribution for underprivileged who are unable to cook due to flooded houses.

 

Sachin Manchanda Foundation, a renowned charitable organisation, recently organised a food drive to nourish and relieve those facing difficulties securing meals during the rough rainy season. The event, held on the occasion of the 85th birth anniversary of the Late Shri Yogendra Sen Manchanda, father of Sachin Manchanda, witnessed an overwhelming response, with 700 individuals benefiting from the initiative.

 

Heavy rains have created havoc in north India with millions of poor people staying in small houses near the cities who now have flooded homes. And are unable to cook their food. For such underprivileged, the foundation have taken this initiative.

 

The food drive took place at DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon, a central location that allowed easy access for those in need. Through this noble endeavour, the Sachin Manchanda Foundation aimed to address the pressing issue of hunger, worsened by the challenging rainy season. The food drive aimed to bring relief to struggling individuals and families and daily wage labourers, ensuring that no one goes to bed hungry.

 

Speaking about the event, Mr. Sachin Manchanda, Founder, Sachin Manchanda Foundation, expressed his gratitude to all those who participated in the event. He said, “It is heartening to witness the overwhelming support we received for this noble cause. The food drive was held in loving memory of my father on his birth anniversary. Our mission is to create a society where every individual has access to basic necessities, and events like these play a crucial role in achieving that vision. I am grateful to all the volunteers and donors who have extended their helping hands to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged.”
