POWERGRID Vishram Sadan inaugurated in Bengaluru

POWERGRID Vishram Sadan was inaugurated by Shri R.K., Honorable Union Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Done by Singh. He addressed the people participating in the program. He appreciated the social welfare efforts being made by POWERGRID and said that this Vishram Sadan of POWERGRID will greatly benefit the poor people living in remote areas. He also discussed about the strong power scenario in the country and the commendable efforts made by the Government of India to provide electricity to the common man at the lowest rates.

This 2-storey rest house, built at a cost of approximately Rs 23 crore, has 270 beds. The 55 rooms prepared in this building are equipped with all the necessary facilities and are capable of providing maximum possible relief to the attendants of the patients. POWERGRID, as a responsible corporate urban, has established similar Rest Houses at AIIMS, New Delhi, IGIMS, Patna, DMCH Darbhanga, KGMU, Lucknow, Guwahati and Vasadodara for the benefit of the general public. Similar rest houses are also being constructed by Power Grid in Ranchi and Jhansi.

POWERGRID has played a significant role in the fields of rural development, education, health care, skill development, environment, drinking water, water conservation and sanitation by contributing to the economic and social welfare across the country with its CSR initiatives at a cost of approximately Rs 1000 crore.
