Fourth barge boat built under 11 The launch was done on 28 February 2024. Commander, Directorate of Shipbuilding, Shirish Dubey presided over the launching ceremony of the new ship.
The requisite contract for the purpose of construction of 11 The availability of these boats will accelerate the operational commitments of the Indian Navy by facilitating the movement of Indian Naval Warships in the bays and bays and external ports as well as transportation, loading and unloading of cargo/ammunition.
All these boats are currently indigenously designed and built under the relevant naval rules and regulations of the Indian Shipping Register. During the design phase, model testing of the barge boat was conducted at the Naval Science and Technology Laboratory in Visakhapatnam. All these small ships are the proud flag bearers of the Make in India initiative of the Government of India.
