Indian Coast Guard saves life of seriously injured Indian fisherman

Indian Coast Guard Station Pipavav safely rescued a 37-year-old critically injured fisherman from an Indian fishing boat named Pushkar Raj, 50 km off the coast in the Gulf of Khambhat on April 03, 2024. On receiving the information, Indian Coast Guard Interceptor (anti-infiltration) boat C-409 was sent and the Maritime Rescue Sub-centre, Pipavav took this action.

On reaching the operation site, the interceptor boat contacted the Indian fishing boat and was informed that the fisherman's left leg was fractured and his ankle was separated.
