Govt of India Establishes Over 13,800 Jan Aushadhi Kendras

As of September 30, 2024, a total of 13,822 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been established throughout India under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). This initiative is designed to enhance access to affordable medicines, particularly for economically disadvantaged individuals.

The establishment of Jan Aushadhi Kendras plays a crucial role in making essential healthcare more accessible to all segments of society, significantly alleviating the financial burden on patients needing medication. The program’s success is evident not only in its expansion but also in the growing trust and reliance of the public on these services for their medical needs.
