The keel laying is a vital step in shipbuilding, marking the official start of construction. Commodore Atul Maini, President of the Shipbuilding Sub Committee (SSB) (Kolkata), officiated both the launch and the keel-laying ceremonies, emphasizing the strategic importance of these vessels for naval operations.
