The passenger train will connect important towns and rural areas in Mau and Ghazipur districts, improving accessibility and easing transportation for people dependent on railway services for daily travel. Railway officials said the train has been introduced in response to a long-standing public demand for better connectivity in the region.
During the inauguration ceremony, the Railway Minister said the new train service would promote economic activities, support local businesses and enhance access to education and healthcare facilities. He added that Indian Railways remains committed to strengthening railway infrastructure and improving passenger amenities across the country.
The newly launched service will halt at several important stations en route, including Mau, Indara, Ghosi, Kopaganj and Jakhanian, ensuring wider regional connectivity. Officials also indicated that the train service may soon be extended up to Varanasi, further benefiting passengers travelling across eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Local residents and public representatives welcomed the launch of the passenger train, describing it as a major step toward improving transportation facilities in the region. The new service is expected to provide a safer, affordable and convenient travel option for thousands of passengers every day.
