The Indian Embassy in Iceland, in collaboration with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), organised the first-ever Indian Mango Promotion Events in Iceland to showcase India’s premium mango varieties and expand their presence in the Nordic market.

 

The promotional campaign highlighted the rich taste, quality, and diversity of Indian mangoes, offering consumers, importers, retailers, and food industry stakeholders an opportunity to experience popular varieties such as Alphonso, Kesar, and Banganapalli. The events also served as a platform to strengthen trade ties and explore new export opportunities for Indian fresh fruits.

 

The initiative is part of APEDA’s ongoing efforts to diversify export destinations and promote India’s agricultural produce in international markets. It aims to increase awareness of Indian mangoes among Icelandic consumers while encouraging stronger business partnerships between Indian exporters and local importers.

 

The successful promotion is expected to pave the way for enhanced exports of Indian mangoes to Iceland and reinforce India’s position as a leading global supplier of high-quality fresh fruits.
