EuroSchool Thane Principal wins the ‘Principal of the Year 2023’ Award

EuroSchool Thane Principal has been recognized for her commendable contribution to future-oriented school leadership and management practices in the field of education based on her innovative style of functioning as a leader of repute. Dr. Jyotsna Mayadas has been recognized as the 'Principal of the Year 2023' at the fifth edition of the EduLeaders Summit in recognition of her core beliefs that schooling and nurturing go hand in hand not only in terms of academics but also in a wide range of activities both in school and beyond school.

Dr. Mayadas was felicitated at a glittering award ceremony organized by Universal Mentors Association in association with Brainwonders in New Delhi on January 19, 2023.

The EduLeaders Summit, in its fifth consecutive edition, drew interest in various categories from government dignitaries, CEOs and owners of various groups of schools, and of course school Principals and Directors from across the length and breadth of the country vying for the top honours. The profile of the educationists was scrutinized by an eminent jury before the final winners was declared.

An elated Dr. Jyotsna Mayadas, Principal, EuroSchool Thane, said, “I am humbled and honoured to receive this award. It is a proud moment for me to be recognized for my efforts in the field of education spanning almost three decades. At EuroSchool, we have stayed true to our commitment to reinventing education. All our efforts are directed towards moulding and guiding children to be the best version of themselves. The management at EuroSchool has always encouraged us to innovate, explore different teaching-learning techniques, and think out of the box while at the same time being true to our credo of 'Balanced Schooling'. Principal Jyotsna brings a rich experience of over 27 years in the field of education and has won several accolades such as the 'Top Educator's Award'. She has participated in several Principal's conclaves and forums in education. She has done a course on Special Education in Israel and heartily believes in inclusive education. She has led several assignments for the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) both in academics as well as in co-curricular activities such as Frank Anthony and Slater Debates and the Albert Barrow Essay writing competitions. A keen proponent of the Model United Nations activity, she has presented a paper at the Harvard Model United Nations as well as taken students to Aitchison College, Lahore for a MUN. She has been closely associated with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme having personally led several trekking expeditions.
