Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 944 development projects worth ₹5,755 crore covering 15 districts of Rajasthan, marking a major push towards infrastructure development and strengthening public facilities across the state.

The large-scale initiative, launched in Chittorgarh, encompasses development works spread across multiple districts and reflects the government’s focus on accelerating infrastructure creation and ensuring that the benefits of development reach communities across Rajasthan.

The projects, with a combined investment of ₹5,755 crore, are expected to strengthen essential infrastructure and support the broader development needs of the districts covered under the programme. The initiative also underlines the emphasis being placed on taking development works to different parts of the state rather than concentrating them in major urban centres.

Speaking at the programme, Shri Amit Shah highlighted the importance of sustained development and infrastructure creation in driving economic growth and improving the quality of public services. The inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony brings together a large number of projects at different stages of development, providing fresh momentum to ongoing and upcoming works across Rajasthan.

With 944 projects covering 15 districts, the initiative represents a significant coordinated development effort in the state. The projects are expected to create stronger infrastructure networks, improve access to essential facilities and contribute to the long-term socio-economic progress of the regions covered.

The programme in Chittorgarh comes as part of the broader effort to strengthen Rajasthan’s development infrastructure and support balanced growth across its districts. The scale of the investment is also expected to provide momentum to local economic activity and create opportunities associated with infrastructure development.

The launch of the projects reinforces the government’s stated priority of expanding development initiatives, strengthening basic infrastructure and ensuring that major public investments translate into tangible benefits for people across the state.
